SENDELICAS BRAND SPANKING NEW STUDIO ALBUM

THE ALBUM HAS ONLY BEEN OUT A FEW MONTHS BUT ALREADY GARNERING LOADS OF GREAT REVIEWS

"Sendelicas latest album offers the very best in extreme all-instrumental entertainment. If pacific ambient music is your bag, look no further than the title track. If you prefer a dose of nerve wrangling, Faust style frenzy, then set the controls for the heart of 'Something In A Grain Of sand'. Or if you're partial to guitars that rip your face off, 'Clever Meat' does the job admirably." 8/10
GEOFF BARTON CLASSIC ROCK MAGAZINE 2013

"They’re a mighty prolific outfit, with vivid imaginations that run the gamut of kosmiche soundscapes. They may have blasted-off their interstellar journeys in supplication to Neu! or Hawkwind (ubiquitous fellow Welsh resident Nik Turner pops up on flute here), but their own vibe floats in on angel wings only to kick up the ground in hobnail boots with their endless and seemingly effortless twists and turns."
IAN ABRAHAM RECORD COLLECTOR AUGUST 2013

"Sendelica's last album The Satori In Elegance Of The Majestic Stonegazer, was a real grower in my house, slowly affixing itself to the stereo where little could dislodge it. Italian psyche magazine Vincebus Eruptus was similarily impressed and gave the album a new lease of life on vinyl as their label;s inaugral wax release.
Kaleidoscopic Kat stays true to their space rock origins, predominately featuring long freaked-out ambient tracks incorporating sequencer landscapes, acid guitar, kille5r sax and electronic swordplay to create an unforgetable cosmic voyage. Amongst numerous guests they find space for a guest spot from Hawkwind legend Nik Turner who provides flute on the final reeprise of the title track.
This album, as well as the new split album on Fruits de mer Records and recent higher profile gigs, indicate the band is finally getting the attention they merit. Long may they space out...
AUGUST ISSUE OF SHINDIG MAGAZINE

Sendelica release their new album the 9 track “The Kaleidoscopic Kat And It’s Autoscopic Ego”. Available on their bandcamp site in various sumptuous formats it’s a magical trip into space psych. The Welsh band’s lead track demonstrates that they are at the top of their game. “Tinsel Tears” is an instantly catchy bone-crunching guitar riff ably augmented by the band. “Set The Controls For The Heart of The Buddha” jams Floyd with electronic beats whilst they similarly remould King Crimson and Neu! on later tracks.
It’s a consistently engaging long player for those who like their aural hit a tad kraut, psych and/or proggy. If so you should board the Sendelica spaceship now.
STRANGEBREW

The album is started with the peaceful “The Kaleidoscopic Kat” that at first has just guitar and keyboards before the rhythm joins in after the three-minute-marker. A very nice piece! “Tinsel Tears” is a heavier, mid-tempo psych rocker that the band is known for and also has real drums. The long ”Something in a Grain of Sand” is more psychedelic, cosmic stuff with programmed drums and tinkling sequencers. A space rock-trance hybrid with dub influences? There’s some killer solos in there by Pete. Starting off with bird-song, the 11:39-long ”It Happened One Sunday Afternoon In Wales” is an at first soothing, beautiful and wonderful track that has excellent, soft saxophone and real drums. The track grows in a fine manner and Pete yet again gets to play solos from the bottom of his soul. One of my favourites! Another highlight is ”Set the Controls for the Heart of the Buddha” that gets closer to Pink Floyd and also reminds me of the more electronic phases of Electric Orange, for example. Hypnotic and heady stuff! ”Clever Meat” is a rather intense and percussive blast that I also like a lot. ”21st Century Autoscopic Ego Man” naturally rips off Marc Bolan but in a pretty electronic mood. The album’s longest track is the almost 14-minute ”It’s the Neu!! Kosmiche Disko” and I’m sure the title tells quiet a lot already. Motoric beat, sequencers, psychedelic guitar and lots of effects spiced with heavily echoed sax. Marvelous!

"West Wales Sendelica have created an album that is hard to dislike.... the music creates a dreamlike atmosphere which may, or may not be redolent of certain narcotic states."
Guitarist Pete Bingham presumably has shares in a factory masking wah wah pedals and delay units.
BUZZ MAGAZINE SEPT 2013

"Hey! A mouthful, an eyeful and an earful in one small package – what more can you reasonably ask for? However, “It’s the Neu! Kosmiche Disco” which garners top review here, though, an uplifting swathe of electonica superimposed on what sounds like a lazy rendition of “I Wanna Be Your Dog” Indeed “...Kosmiche Disco” is likely to appeal to a broader listenership than the festie/Hawkwind/Ozrics crowd with whom they are more often associated, with echoes of Hallucinogen and Shpongle evident in the groove."
PTOLMAIC TERRASCOPE SEPT 2013

"imagine the musicians of Harmonia doing a session with Pink Floyd"

"....every piece is distinctive, each adding its own ingredients to the mind bubbling soup that makes up the entire album. And it’s a tasty soup, indeed! Another great release from this band!"
