Once upon a time, in a place not so different from here, but different all the same, there lived The One Who Summons Midnight, and The One Who Shadows.

Estranged for a time, but never far, the Two met by chance one eve. After reveling in each other's company for a time, Midnight said to Shadow
"Have you ever thought about what might happen should we decide to occupy the same space at a moment in time?"

"I have not," said Shadow. "Let us see."

Upon merging dimensions, Midnight and Shadow, all at once the world was plunged into a darkness, a radiant cacophony echoing through the sullen, snowy mountainsides.

Brief, but resplendent, the sound of their union was captured by the Two, immortalized in Eternity.
