Recorded by Shahrzad with her musical ensemble in Cairo, this album was made to capture the current sound of Egyptian bands and the style in which they play in clubs and restaurants for dance shows. The album was recorded in a live studio session to capture the feeling of live music and the energy that comes from the interaction of band members.

Included with the album is a digital booklet including information about each song as well as full translations and transliterations of the songs that include lyrics.

Shahrzad is an international dance artist located in Cairo, Egypt. She produces music for Egyptian folk dances and Raqs Sharqi, supporting native Egyptian musicians in their traditional arts.
