„Thaw“ was written and recorded by me, Anna Kohlweis, in January 2025 during an artist residency at Arteles Creative Center in Haukijärvi, Finland, and mixed and mastered at home in Vienna, Austria.
Thank you to the staff at Arteles and my fellow residents, especially those willing to be recorded during silent sauna evenings. Thank you to everyone who I had the privilege to become friends with during those dark winter weeks. Our shared time, laughs, sweat, silence, and conversations make this record what it is.


The antler scissors on the cover, found in a bottom drawer in the Blue House kitchen, were allegedly made by someone with the last name Pääsky (first name unknown), that is all I know.
