B Boy Zilla 2 is a return to form for producer/dj Teck-Zilla and serves as his first instrumental release for the year 2019. After being immersed in the b-boy music culture and working closely with some b-boy crews, Teck goes back to the his lab to put to good use the things he had learned on the field. The 7 track project blends classic drum breaks with new age afro-pop sounds in Teck’s own unique manner. He takes tracks like Rema’s “Dumebi” and “Iron man” and splices them with rumbling breaks giving them a whole new life. Even laid-back cuts like Nonso Amadi’s “Radio” and Fireboy’s “Jealous” get a bombastic revamp that will surely get B-Boys and girls getting down on the concrete. The project is also peppered with snippets from the classic 80s dance filled Breakin’ (or Breakdance) which tie the songs together.
B Boy Zilla 2 is the sequel to Teck-Zilla’s B-boy break music series. The first edition was released on the 7th of Dec, 2017.
