Strict Tempo is a dark alternative electronic event series, video podcast and record label based in Los Angeles, run by DJ Vox Sinistra. She books an international selection of dark electronic artists, and has worked with artists including Xeno and Oaklander, Twin Tribes, Kris Baha, Ultra Sunn, Bestial Mouths, Curses, and many more.

Inspired by dark ‘80s scenes while looking to the future with electronic and cross-genre innovation, Strict Tempo represents a unique retro-futuristic blend of sounds within electronic body music, darkwave/coldwave, industrial, dark techno, post-punk, Italo disco and more. This compilation release marks the first for Strict Tempo as its own imprint, featuring tracks from well-known and up-and-coming dark alternative electronic artists.
