The Trauma Center P1 is more than just an album—it's a cathartic expression of his struggles and a tribute to those on their own road to recovery.
The reason behind naming my upcoming album The Trauma Center. On October 14, 2022, I was released from Ryder Trauma Center in Miami, Florida, after surviving a near-fatal work accident. That accident left me a burn survivor and a limb-loss survivor. I spent 89 days in that hospital, and when I left, I was not the same person who had walked in.
This album reflects that journey. While crafting it, I underwent 25 surgeries and wrestled with emotions like helplessness, brokenness, hatred, loss, confusion, anger, depression, and fear. I even struggled with suicidal thoughts. But this project has become almost like therapy for me—letting me release all of those overwhelming feelings and thoughts in a way that felt, somehow, positive.
The Trauma Center isn’t just an album; it’s the elevation of who I am today—Kendall Spencer, a man, a father, an artist, and a writer. This project means more to me than words can express, and I can’t wait to share it with you all on October 14. Thank you for being with me on this journey."
