The debut LP, Dxys Xff, from the odd Miami solo act Teams (Sean Bowie), extends a gratis glimpse into a spectral psyche brimming with brittle electro beats. Teams offers everything from pscyh-crazy jolts on “Stunts” to carnal lo-fi R&B grinds on “Lxv Spxll.” Dxys Xff thrives on the paradoxical union of jagged and sensual rhythms, brought to their apex on “Based Love.” “The Only One” temporarily takes the rapture down a few notches to make room for Bobbi Dahl’s ice cold expressions. Teams is killing it in 2011, with a Star Slinger collaborative effort already out earlier this year.
