Recorded live at The Rescue Rooms in Nottingham 10-02-24The debut appearance of the Mk.IV line-up of The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican was shrouded in an air of mystery. Scott Doonican announced in August 2023 that three new brothers would be joining himself and Alan Doonican, but didn't tell anyone who would be joining.
A special 'BIG REVEAL' show was planned at the Rescue Rooms in Nottingham for the band's first outing of 2024. The show promptly sold out, and the arrival and addition of Jeremiah Rickenbacker Doonican III, Mo-Jo Doonican and Dave Doonican made for a blistering set from the UK's hardest-working comedy folk band. 'Doonicans In Concert' captures the highlights of that very show.
Hailing from Barnsley, The Bar-Steward Sons of Val Doonican are Britain's hardest working comedy band. Having played over 1,350 anarchic live shows to date, they are instantly recognisable for their immaculate hair and their stylish dress-sense. The have been critically acclaimed to be the UK festival scene's undisputed Kings of Parody.
