This nine-part collection is the resulting coalescence of an arduous, three yearlong period — made replete with both cumbersome doubt and radiant inspiration. It is the outgrowth of countless hours spent drafting and discarding creative material, interpreting and conceptualizing inner images, and using any free moment in thought about the project and its meaning.

Through it all, 'Fluid Noumena' emerged as my most genuine try at producing a sonic phenomenology of experience itself by way of contemplation, descriptive abstraction, and inner exploration. In its essence, the work is an attempt to convey, through sound, descriptions of "Being", or more specifically, the being of the individual 'Self' and its most immediate, yet obscure circumstances: notions of the knowable and the unknowable, familiarity and strangeness, baseness and sacredness, 'Self' and "Other", cognition and sensation, the head and the heart, water and air, the manifest "Now" and the unmanifest past, memory and the present, pain and beauty.

In so many words, it is my hope that these tracks, and the album as a whole, produce significant images and impressions within the listener — ones that linger like the ghosts of experience that we all hold within ourselves.
