Ask the Oracle is a genre-defying selection of hazy summer electronica from The Space Cadet blending old school 90s/00s styles with modern sound design and warm production detail. The release opens with uplifting house, then soars effortlessly through surreal trip hop, scintillating dub, and psychedelic downtempo, taking the listener on a transcendent journey through sound.

“I’ve been trying to diversify the Space Cadet palette, working on different styles of electronic music, including more of my guitar and orchestral instruments. After spending a lot of time in the studio over the last year, I picked 7 tracks to share that I felt were the best written, produced and that I’ve most wanted to go back and listen to for fun in my day to day life. After hundreds of listens, I’m still not tired of them and hope you will find the music worth your time.” -J

The Space Cadet is multi-instrumentalist Julien Foster's ambient trip hop project. Drawing inspiration from psychedelic music, comics and culture, his output is a distillation of synths, samples and real instrumentation into swirling soundscapes and smokey beats.
