In 2014 I was approached by a film production company to write songs for an independent motion picture soundtrack. A script was finished and sent to me for musical and lyrical inspiration and the songs flowed accordingly – for nearly 18 months! As you’ll hear upon listening, the themes touch on daily urban life, reconnecting relationships, love lost and re-discovered…the usual influential fodder for most good pop songs. Contracts were signed. Dreams of wealth and fame seemed almost within reach, but things slowed to a long, drawn-out halt and the film was never made. By 2019, the notion of these songs gathering dust forever was too much to bear, so I’ve unearthed them, brushed them off and polished the corners – for perpetuity.
