Featuring songs from KITMA, THE BASQUE BRASS THUNDER BAND, JOE YORKE, CHLOE LAING, PERKIE, BEANIE and THE EASTONIANS The Co-operators debut album 'RHYTHMS FROM THE KITCHEN SINK' jumps from 60's style ska instrumentals to up tempo rockers and mellow roots in barely a heartbeat.

The nine tracks that feature on this album have been handcrafted by a cast of musicians whose reverence for Jamaican music is at the heart of their sound. Recorded, mixed and produced by Eeyun Purkins and mastered by PRESSURE MASTERING.

‘Certainly authentic, the Co-Operators and their cohorts here betray their obvious love of 70s Dub and Reggae, but manage to equip their efforts with songs of real feeling and character. Rhythms From The Kitchen Sink is an ultimately satisfying diversion that breathes fresh life into that Roots sound of the mid-1970s.’ Ian Canty, Louder Than War

‘This disc is overflowing with razor-sharp authentic ska, rocksteady & roots reggae goodness & mixes up crisp instrumentals with strongly anti-establishment vocals’ Do The Dog Skazine.

Hand crafted reggae music made under influence of the sounds of 60's, 70's and 80's Jamaica.

Recorded and mixed by Eeyun Purkins at Waggle Dance Studios, Bristol, with the 'use what you got' mantra as the studios foundation stone.
