Halftone Burn consists of two variations of the same recording, processed one after the other using a combination of fast Fourier transforms to alter the length of the recording in greater and smaller amounts, octaval pitch shifting and granular re-sampling, in order to achieve a sort of aural representation of the generational loss that occurs when you re-scan a photocopy over and over.
The original session was recorded on 25th December, 2023 with Vector LFO in Ornament & Crime driving four modules from Behringer's ARP 2500 remake line - the 1004 oscillator, the 1005 Modamp ring modulator and amplifier, the 1006 Filtamp low-pass filter and amplifier and the 1047 multimode filter and resonator. A wealth of such sessions exist in the archives, and will eventually see daylight when the time feels right.
