This album was recorded in the Southern Appalachians at Hambidge Center of the Arts where I spent a couple weeks on an artist residency. Many of these songs are solo renditions of what we play with the full band, and each come from my little heart. Everything was recorded on a Tascam field recorder in one take, on one track (except for the occasional track of just noises from the surrounding environment). I was inspired by bugs, and how small yet mighty they are. I had never been anywhere so thick with sound, and this was my patchwork and raw experience.
