A first-time collaboration between mainstays in the sub-underground scene, Belgian artist Bram Devens, known as Ignatz, collaborates with New York City artist Marcia Bassett. Live sound recording Dream of Autumn Electrified Blues I & II immerses the listener in a voluptuous autumn psychedelic blues soundscape. Dark heavy electronic drones coupled with Bram's guitar picking and amplified strings intertwine with electronic patterings, creating resonant atmospheric panoramas. Koen Vandenhoudt proposed this collaboration for their live performance at Grambach in Mechelen. It was a perfect match, as the pair was wrapping up a ten-day tour together as solo artists through the UK and Northern Europe. Bassett (synthesizer and voice) takes a direct line from Ignatz (guitar and effects) to shape the sounds on her Buchla Music Easel: reflection guitar riffs infused with electronic elements, alongside spontaneous vocals, transcend time, transporting you into the cavernous depths of electrified psychedelic blues. This recording exemplifies the beautiful blending of their unique playing styles.
