"After much deliberation, a sausage and egg butty and a cup of chai, I thought id do a write up for this EP. Cycling Into Oncoming Traffic has 4 slices of Cinematic Jungle including a remix by long time friend and collaborator Earl Grey (two types of tea mentioned in one blurb. What are the chances?) This EP features some tracks from the Aroma Nice Vaults which have been gathering dust until now. The title of the EP came to me when I saw some young “helmetless” lad fiercely pedalling his bike on the opposite side of the road, throwing all caution to the wind and not giving a fuck. The image stuck with me and I dramatised the notion in my head. Purposely riding a bike head on into traffic dodging and weaving through whizzing by cars without getting hit, felt somewhat comical, reckless, chaotic and totally abstract all at the same time. I felt like this was a perfect representation of some of the sounds displayed on this EP. Whether the young lad survived or not, I’m not entirely sure."
