This album follows in the steps of the highly successful Disco Spectrum series that Joey and Sean compiled for the BBE label. Focusing in the more soulful and funky end of the ever popular 70’s music form the original 12” of this album would cost you several £1000’s if you were lucky enough to find them. Many of the tracks contained here are ones you will have heard in disco sets from Dimitri From Paris or Joey Negro.

Over half of the tracks included on SoD appear in exclusive DJ Friendly RE-EDITS by either Joey or Sean. Some very tasty high lights include the ultra sought after Walter Gibbons mix of Gladys Knight “It’s A Better Than Good Time” and Adrenalin’s back street instrumental version of David Bendeth’s “Feel The Real”

Legendary producer Dave Lee founded Z Records back in 90, as the natural successor to his highly influential first label, Republic Records, which remains for many, the foundation stone of the UK house scene.

Using Z primarily as an outlet for his own material, Dave has continued to champion all things funky and soulful with a consistently high level of quality underground releases.
