Tomes is the remixed, re-mastered compilation of three separate tape releases: Excavation, Revolution, and Sublimation. All of these releases deal with a pan-genre approach to music-making and the tape-medium's particular suitability to this approach (a la mixtape).

Matthew Dotson is a producer, composer and performer of electronic music. He is primarily focused on the emotional/perceptual transformations that accompany shifting blocks of continuous sound.

Auto Pilot will be his last album under his full name. It is a collection of archival material stitched together through a telescope of lost time.
