Expanse was created in May/June of 2024.
After spending a lot of time experimenting with my semi modular mono synths and the Korg sequencer on "In Sequence"
I felt I wanted to explore some deeper & layered soundscapes using my mighty Prophet Rev 2.

Starting out by creating stacked patches on the synth and performing them in a freeform way as much as possible I built up some deep shifting drone foundations with a rather expansive tonal quality. These elements naturally guided me to the rather dark & atmospheric yet mystical aesthetic, I was mindful of keeping the tracks sparse regarding the amount of additional elements I added to keep from getting too cluttered and to retain a sense of vastness and endless space.

I hope with the four tracks contained I have delivered something within the deeper side of Ambient, drone that stirs the imagination and the soul in some way.
