You can’t imagine that band producing the sound on UNREAL. Maybe that’s why the cover art shows Grant Donaldson (vocals) and David Scott (12-string guitar) surrounded by paper bag clones – ghost members to fill out the sound behind them.
UNREAL is released on Friday 26 May on limited edition vinyl through Makeshift Swahili Records. The artwork was created in collaboration with Glasgow-based artist Sean Patrick Campbell and graphic designer Mitchell F Gillies, positioning the band as an anonymous cell, with additional members wearing screen-printed masks of Donaldson and Scott.
UNREAL will be supported by touring across the UK, including shows in Manchester, Bristol, Sheffield, Edinburgh, and a hometown show to end the tour at Glasgow’s Old Hairdressers on Friday 30 June, followed by a performance at the inaugural CORE Festival in Glasgow on 19 August 2023.
