The tracks on 'Burning Neighbours' are personal; mutual conversations and joint adventures find their way into lyrics, where soft and humane ideas about the world are supported by a whirlwind of sound and guitar noise. In a swirl of musical emotions, the band works towards a catharsis in every song and every live set.

Take, for instance, "Trans Youth," a song about discovering gender identity and the associated challenges. Another example is "Always Winning," a track with deeply personal lyrics about navigating the whirlwind of ADHD, both in oneself and in loved ones.

“Friends”, in which feelings of protest, community and care are found and celebrated through friendship. With “Hesitate” they make an ode to diving headstrong into any challenge life throws at you despite all the doubt raging inside you, shouting ‘Whatever happens, I love you!’ The closing track “Get Back Up” starts as a jam session and grows into a full song, a reminder to move at your own pace, choose quality over quantity and a call against rushed productivity.

'Burning Neighbours' was recorded in two studios: Epic Rainbow Unicorn Studio in Rotterdam and Katzwijm in Voorhout.

Rotterdam-based quartet Neighbours Burning Neighbours is unfazed by chaos. In fact, the band’s music could be considered something of a safe space for the more chaotic skirmishes and impulses; a formidable, malformed brand of noise-pop that pierces through the void, achieving joyous harmony within even the starkest of discord.
